Under Development: Micromagnetic-Microfluidic Blood Filter
From: digg.com: Stories H
The Ingber Lab at Harvard Medical School and Children's Hospital Boston has developed a magnetic blood filtering system to get rid of microbes from blood in situ. This practice of conserving the patient's own blood and minimizing transfusions reduces infection and illness and improves recovery.
